Forged From Ether

Forged From Ether statues are the digital equivalent of statues cast from valuable metals like gold or bronze, except they are cast from Ether, the native currency of the Ethereum Blockchain.

Forging

Each statue holds the Ether that it was cast from, and can be melted down by its owner at any time to retrieve the Ether, but the statue will be lost forever.

The statues' structures are stored on chain, and all statues are unique - no two statues can be identical.

Design

Artists may design a statue in a 16 x N grid of blocks of Ether, where higher blocks require more ETH. The more blocks of Ether used in the designed, the more ETH that will be required to cast the statue. The first 16x16 blocks require 1/256 ETH each, and begin to increase exponentially above that.

The statue may not have an empty 16x16 region.

Artists may also name their creation at the time of Forging. The name is also stored on-chain. Names must be 32 bytes or less.

Fees

There is a Forging fee of 1% of the Ether value of the statue or 0.01 ETH (whichever is smaller), which is paid to the creator of the project.

Cast Ether Statues was created by AnAllergyToAnalogy.
